What is an event planner?

Ever wonder what the point of an event planner is? I never actually understood the benefits until I started hosting my own events. I soon realised that amidst hosting an event, you really need that one person that just gets things done or knows someone who will. They are the go-to person for all your questions, as well as your time keeper while you try to have a little fun at your party.

Time flies when you’re having fun so time management is absolutely key during an event. As a host, you can’t be at all places at the same time BUT your event manager can. They ensure that the cameraman is capturing the right moments, the waiters are rotating the snacks amongst all the guests and the DJ gets the queue to start pumping up the music to get the party started.

Your event planner is also the bearer of bad news. They ensure that music is turned down due to location regulations, that guests can’t dance on the tables and that it’s time for everyone to go home. As a host you only need to smile, wish everyone a good evening and thank them for coming. In return, you hear what a great time everyone had!
